Shalom Haver (Friend)! We are delighted you came to this website.  Light of Messiah Congregation of Toronto is a part of Light of Messiah Ministries International and together we seek to reach Israel’s remnant with the Good News of Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah.  Since 1992 we have been helping the Jewish people understand that Yeshua is their Messiah and our Shabbat services are conducted in a Messianic, or a Biblical Jewish cultural context in order to eliminate barriers which often hinder the Good News of Yeshua.  We believe this is the closest form of worship today which is comparable to how the first century believers conducted themselves.  We respond to God’s love through the preaching of the word from the Older and Newer Covenants, song, liturgy, dance and the communal meal, and in doing so, we hope to model the love that we see in the book of Acts as the disciples “were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” (Acts 2:42) We are also a teaching ministry for the Body of Messiah.  So, we have taken Jethro’s advice to Moses to, “teach them the statutes and the laws, and make known to them the way in which they are to walk and the work they are to do.” (Ex 18:20)  By this we help individuals and families explore the word of God deeper and equip them to walk in the good works God has laid before them that together we may effectively reach those whom God has put in our path. Come and explore the word of God with us, there are many avenues from which you can begin to learn more.  We have Bible studies, home groups and a wonderful children’s ministry which will allow each member of your family to fully participate in the exploration God’s word.  Each element of our ministry is designed to guide you on your path of approach to God and to draw closer to Him.
